Trusted California Pest Control Experts

From One Truck in Elk Grove to 100+ Across California

In the 1990s, two brothers began selling pest control services door-to-door during their summer breaks to earn money for college. The work was long and demanding, but they quickly found purpose and success helping families solve their pest problems. They became licensed technicians and discovered opportunities to improve the customer experience that other companies overlooked. Before long, they left academia behind and committed to building something of their own.

By 2000, they launched Official Pest Prevention with just two employees, one truck, and a small office in Elk Grove. From those humble beginnings, the company grew steadily, driven by a commitment to quality service and genuine care for every customer.

Today, we serve over 30,000 customers from Oroville to Bakersfield and Fremont to Placerville, with a fleet of more than 100 vehicles and a dedicated team of over 150 professionals.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Jose A went above and beyond! We've had these awful spider webs taking over the house for a while, and he suggested a spray to prevent them from making more webs, and cleaned off as many as he could with a tool. He was very professional and friendly, explained everything, and suggested power washing the higher areas where he couldn't reach. We have been paying for this service since the beginning of the year, and Jose is the first tech who suggested options for the spiders and webs, and did significant work to rid us of them. Thank you Jose!

Brian V came today on time. Cleared all the webs, dust off the house. Checked all my boxes removing dead mouse and reset the trap as well as refilled boxes. I was very pleased. He was friendly and talked to me.

Steve L. was especially helpful as he explained mosquito control. Given the method he uses, I decided I didn’t want SoBe to possibly being exposed to a toxin.

He recommended contacting the Mosquito Abatement District to look for options since they already are treating the neighborhood. Having experienced West Nile, I don’t consider mosquitos beneficial insects. No, it is not lost on me that we have pest control, largely because of rodents that find our neighborhood desirable. We minimally treat the perimeter of our house to keep them at bay.

Brian did a fantastic job with our pest control! He sprayed the front and back of our house, and by the very next day, there were piles of dead cockroaches. Whatever he used is working. We’ve never seen results this fast! My family and I are so thankful for how effective the treatment has been. Highly recommend Brian for anyone dealing with pests. He really knows what he’s doing.

Dave was able to come out the same day I called and requested an inspection. Although he was 15 minutes late he made up for it by spending the time to answer all my questions regarding chemicals to be used, processes used to get rid of termites. Official pest prevention has been outstanding from initial contact through and including inspection. And took the time to answer ALL my questions regarding chemicals & application.
